I am starting my 25th year a a full-time, self-employed glass blower. I received my training at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, as well as Haystack Craft School in Maine. I apprenticed under Albert Young at the Birmingham – Bloomfield Art Association, where I later taught glass blowing classes. I opened my studio at my home in 1987 and have been in operation since.
I produce functional items with traditional off-hand Venetian techniques. My work includes bowls, vases, perfumes, ornaments, tumblers, etc. I sell at outdoor art fairs throughout Michigan in the summer and galleries and art centers year-round, especially during the holiday season.
My love of glass extends from Tiffany to Chihuly and I feel blessed to carry on the tradition of glass craftsmen. Inspirations included my love of nature, combined with an arts and crafts aesthetic. I hope my work touches you in some way.
